Monitis Announces Amazon EC2 Cloud Edition

Industry leading Performance Monitor offers Amazon EC2 instance as its new deployment option

Hannover, Germany – March 3-8, 2009 – Monitis, a leading provider of affordable, easy-to-use performance monitoring and management software is launching new deployment option for its industry leading Performance Monitor service. Monitis Performance Monitor service can be hosted on Amazon EC2 or in an internal cloud. Demonstrations will be available during CeBIT exhibition, Hall 6, Stand B16

IT administrators not only have to deal with the spiraling complexity of heterogeneous infrastructures such as SaaS, cloud computing, systems outside the firewall, etc but also spiraling out of control cost especially in a challenging economic environment. Traditional existing systems are not adept to deal with last few years of rapid infrastructure changes but also require significant learning curve let alone continued maintenance. Monitis is radically changing the system monitoring and management landscape by providing easy to use, affordable, flexible (deployment configurations include: shared, internal cloud and external cloud), and simple to manage SaaS performance monitoring and management solution. Monitis external cloud deployment option leverages Amazon EC2 instance.

Monitis Enterprise Edition will be available as Amazon Machine Image (AMI), but also as VMWare image and Citrix XEN image. It will make deployment quick and seamless. The price per server will depends on maximum number of monitoring nodes requires and will start from $499. Unlimited version will cost $9,999. A significant discount will be provided for education, healthcare and government organizations.

The new deployment configuration of either Amazon EC2 cloud or internal cloud will be demonstrated at CeBIT and will become publicly available right after the show.
